Semarang, March 5, 2026 — Public transportation today is no longer defined solely by routes and speed, but increasingly by accessibility, comfort, and sustainability. This Ramadan, sustainable mobility company INVI, the authorized distributor of HIGER electric buses in Indonesia, launched a community-driven initiative in Semarang under the themes “Mobility for All” and #SemarangBerbagiTanpaEmisi (Semarang Shares Without Emissions).
In collaboration with the Semarang City Transportation Agency (Dinas Perhubungan Kota Semarang), Trans Semarang, Roemah Difabel, and the Bis Mania Semarang community, the initiative combined an electric bus experience, discussions on inclusive transportation, and a social movement to distribute 1,100 iftar meal packages (takjil) to the public throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
The program began with an electric bus community ride aboard the HIGER electric bus as part of the ongoing Trans Semarang EV pilot program, bringing together people with disabilities, public transportation enthusiasts, and members of the Bis Mania Semarang community.
The quiet, comfortable, and zero-emission journey symbolized the transition toward a cleaner public transportation system. More importantly, however, it served as an open platform to discuss the importance of making public transportation accessible to everyone.
For members of Roemah Difabel, the experience represented more than simply trying a new mode of transport. It offered a glimpse into how urban mobility can continue evolving into a system that is more inclusive, equitable, and responsive to the transportation needs of people with disabilities.
“At INVI, mobility is not merely about moving people from one place to another. It is about ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to be part of that journey. Through this collaboration, we want to demonstrate that the transition toward low-emission transportation must go hand in hand with inclusivity, because a truly progressive city is accessible to all,” said Alif Sasetyo, President Director of INVI.
Meanwhile, a representative of the Semarang City Transportation Agency welcomed the cross-sector collaboration.
“We fully support initiatives that promote greener and more inclusive public transportation. Partnerships like this are essential in fostering public awareness that urban mobility is a shared responsibility—not only of the government or transport operators, but of the entire community,” said Danang Kurniawan, Head of Semarang City Transportation Agency.
#SemarangBerbagiTanpaEmisi: Distributing 1,100 Takjil Along the City’s Journey

Beyond the community activities, INVI and its partners distributed a total of 1,100 takjil (iftar snack) packages throughout Ramadan. Distribution events on March 4, 13, and 20 were conducted in collaboration with the Semarang City Transportation Agency and Trans Semarang at various public transportation hubs across the city. On March 5, the takjil distribution was carried out alongside Roemah Difabel and the Bis Mania Semarang community as part of the electric bus community gathering.
All takjil packages were prepared using environmentally friendly packaging as part of the #MobilityForAll and #SemarangBerbagiTanpaEmisi campaigns, reflecting the integration of social responsibility and environmental awareness into a single movement.
The day’s activities concluded with a communal iftar gathering at Roemah Difabel, attended by community members, public transportation operators, and local government representatives.
The event also featured a sharing session on sustainable mobility, informal discussions on inclusive transportation, and interactive community activities. This multi-stakeholder collaboration demonstrated that building a cleaner, more equitable urban transportation system requires collective participation.
Through this human-centered and collaborative approach, INVI hopes to strengthen public awareness that the future of transportation is not defined solely by technological innovation, but by the positive impact it creates in people’s everyday lives.
